Basic Bio
Gerald L. Bowen, Jr., was born on July 7, 1964 in Meadowbrook, Pennsylvania. He grew up in Elkins Park, Montgomery County, PA, one of five children. He attended LaSalle High School, The University of Scranton for College and the Widener Law School. He is married (wife-Doreen) and has two daughters (Grace and Shannon). He now lives in Ivyland, Northampton Township, Bucks County, PA.
He is active in his community in numerous ways and is also active with his local parish. He is a Board of Director of Catholic Social Services for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. He is a former adjunct college professor and a former Board of Director of a Philadelphia area hospital. He has background in the investment field and with real estate management.
Writer
Gerry has always had a passion for reading and writing literature, especially the short story. He has read literally hundreds of short stories over the years. He reads anthologies assembled of various great writers and collections either on a particular topic or by an individual writer. Some of the specific collection topics include Irish short stories, baseball short stories, inspirational short stories and stories about fishing and sailing. Gerry has written over seventy-five short stories himself. He writes on many different subject matters including about his special needs daughter, Grace. Overall, Gerry feels that the short story is a wonderful and sometimes under-appreciated writing form.

Gerry is a full-time attorney and the managing partner of the law firm, Bowen & Burns located in Southampton, PA.
